Many friends from the wood factory have complained to us: drying sawdust is either clumping and moldy, or burning and catching fire! The core problem often lies in choosing the wrong temperature!

Wood chips have a high moisture content, are flammable, and prone to agglomeration, making temperature control more sensitive than ordinary materials

❌  Too low temperature → unable to dry, moldy, clumping (blocking equipment!)

❌  High temperature → Surface coking, risk of dust explosion, and sharp drop in thermal efficiency!

✅  Professional advice for selecting temperature (key 3 elements):

Check the type of sawdust:

Pine sawdust (oily) → Recommended ≤ 160 ° C (to prevent spontaneous combustion)

Hard wood chips (high density) → can be raised to 180 ° C (penetrating hot air)

Check the initial moisture content:

50% wet material → first remove moisture in the low temperature section (80-100 ° C), then increase the temperature

<30% semi dry material → direct medium temperature (120-150 ° C) to improve efficiency

See finished product requirements:

Fuel pellets → dry to 15% moisture content (saving energy consumption)

Board raw materials → require ≤ 10% moisture content (low-temperature slow drying to maintain fiber)
